As the weather clears local residents are returning home to answer the question: what next? For one local resident the answer came in the form of a Red Cross shelter.
“My house was flattened by the storm,” says Roger Scott of Boonsboro. “Thank goodness the American Red Cross was there to help. They gave us a place to go and the supplies we needed to get through the next couple days.”
After spending the night at the John F. Kennedy Middle School shelter, Red Cross volunteers provided Scott with the means refill his medication and buy some dry clothes.
