Red Cross workers from across the area and around the country have responded to Virginia and North Carolina to assist those affected by Hurricane Harriet. Thousands of homes and businesses have been damaged by wind and flood waters, including the ironic flooding of the Down Under Dive Shop.
Harriet, once a Category 4 hurricane as it slammed into Virginia Beach, has been downgraded to a tropical storm. The Red Cross is on the scene, providing food, shelter and means to get clothing and other basic supplies to those affected by this deadly storm.
